Representative Adam Kinzinger to Run in Newly Redrawn Illinois 16th Congressional District

Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger has announced he will run in the newly redrawn Illinois 16th Congressional District in the 2012 election.  Kinzinger stated he is running in the 16th District "because it emcompasses more of the current 11th District than any other district under the new map."  Kinzinger will challenge current 16th District Republican Congressman Don Manzullo in the March 2012 Primary.

The 16th Congressional includes a small part of Will County, including the towns of Channahon, Wilmington, and Braidwood. Here is a map of the newly realigned Illinois 16th Congressional District.:
